Operant conditioning
Operant conditioning theory by B.F Skinner.
The Operant conditioning theory states that, in order to shaped or maintain a certain behavior, reinforcers such as reward and punishments are induced. Reward is given in order to strengthen a wanted behaviour, and punishments are given to reduce or destroy an unwanted behaviour. Consistency and intensity of the punishment are also factors that speed up the change in behavior.
Therefore, if an action done with good intentions and trust is executed and it comes back to bite you in the ass. The behavior is highly unlikely to reoccur.
If my respect and trust in you, cost me the freedom of doing what i love most, then i apologize beforehand if i no longer rely on your opinion or your approval. :)
