OKAY so my earlier posts were about small acts of kindness now about bigger ones. This post is of a girl whose 21st birthday was on the 2nd of October.
Whats so speacial about this girl? See, Her name is Roxanne and what she did for her 21st birthday is the best birthday celebration I've heard anyone do. First, Here's what we did for her.
Her mother bought an ice-cream cake and we celebrated her birthday with her in Uni.
there it is!
And for her birthday present, we got a a pair of really high killer heels, cuz she only wears really high heels. XD
AND for her card, we made a really big board. And stuck it all over with sticky notes. Messages from everyone is our sem and our seniors along with all our lecturers.
So thats what we did for her. And for herself, she hosted a big 21st birthday party at an ORPHANAGE Catering a western style buffet, buying lotss of ballons, snacks, and a really big cake, she shared the joys of her birthday with 150 orphans. It was a really awesome way to spend 10k of your money on.
Everyone from our class was invited so we went with her right after class to the orphanage. This is the first time ive ever been to an orphanage and it hit me, how awful it is to have no parents and grow up lacking of attention, love and care. These children are just as cheeky and fun like those kids that i love so much in my kindy, except they have no parents and all they have are each other.
We helped out to make sure all the kids ate and enjoyed themselves and when everything was done,we had our dinner. The food was awesome! :D and when it was time to bring out the cake, the children were really excited. Oh! this is her dog! Chuck, who also went for the party! SO CUTE right?!
SO, back to the party, all the kids sang for her and after blowing the candles, she cut the cake to share with everyone. :)
After eating the cake, all the kids went upstairs to bed and we stayed behind for her to open her presents and clean up.
Thats her posing with her birthday present from us :) glad she liked it.
And that's her birthday cake. So pretty, and it tasted really good too. Anyways, my point is, what she did for her birthday was really great and to spend your birthday with the unfortunate, making them happy is something i want to do, sometime in my life too. :)
